We know it takes more than job training to reduce unemployment in Memphis. The Collective Blueprint is creating solutions for our city and nation through coalitions, innovation, research and advocacy.
initiatives and Advocacy

Career readiness training and support
As Memphis’ go-to model for supporting opportunity youth, we facilitate entry into in-demand careers via school-readiness training, coaching, therapy, and stipends. You get lifelong access to a supportive community and begin your career in internships and career jobs.

Changing systems in our city and beyond
Because the current employment and educational landscapes fail many young adults, we build coalitions to address these inequities and transform Memphis. We led city-wide economic development planning under the More for Memphis plan, an effort to raise and deploy $1B in investments to improve outcomes for Memphis children and families. We are also building a large-scale initiative to ensure every young adult goes on to a viable pathway.

Elevating the young adult voice
We position young adults as leaders and advocates to ignite economic justice in Memphis. We train them in participatory democracy and support their campaigns for policy agendas that support sustainable change.
CAMPAIGN SPOTLIGHT
BLUEPRINT FOR change
Our voter mobilization campaign included polling hundreds of young adults on issues and interviewing all mayoral candidates. Our online get-out-the vote campaign informational website reached 8,700 people and our social media reports reached 94,000 people.
I was visiting a community center when an upbeat Collective Blueprint recruiter gave a presentation about their job-training programs. I signed up on the spot! Now, I’m earning over $60,000 a year as an IT Support Analyst. Nothing shabby about that.
