We’re building pathways to thriving careers.
The Collective Blueprint increases socioeconomic mobility for for the 45,000 young adults out of school and work in Memphis.
A blueprint for economic change
We're drawing up blueprints to help young adults eliminate barriers and build new pathways to economic self-sufficiency. Most people know The Collective Blueprint for our programs that establish career pathways and ensure equitable access to support, resources, and opportunities, but we do so much more!
Our vision is all young adults have the power to live their best lives and the tools to make that a reality. We're working toward this through our strategic priorities, using our core values as guiding lights.
I saw the Collective’s program on social media and thought it could help me get into cybersecurity, but I got more out of my experience than just job training. I connected with other young people in the city and networked with professionals in different industries. We all found ourselves trying to build better lives, in Memphis.

Our Priorities
-
Career readiness training and support
As Memphis’ go-to model for supporting opportunity youth, we facilitate entry into in-demand careers via school-readiness training, ongoing coaching, internships, employment support, and life-long access to a well-connected network.
-
Changing systems in our city and county
Because the current employment and educational landscapes fail many young adults, we build coalitions to address these inequities and transform Memphis. We led city-wide economic development planning under the More for Memphis plan, an effort to raise and deploy $1B in investments to improve outcomes for Memphis children and families.
-
Elevating the young adult voice
We position young adults as leaders and advocates to ignite economic justice in Memphis. We train them in participatory democracy and support their campaigns for policy agendas that support sustainable change.
